“Winning a High-Speed, Close-Distance Gunfight” is a study of issues relevant to today’s use of firearms in the high stress environment of close-quarters combat. This book is intended to give the student or instructor a plain English explanation of the many issues that must be accounted for in firearms training programs. The reader will gain insight into why firearms training programs must be about fighting not shooting.
Subjects covered include gaining proper perspective on training, the firearms training philosophy professed at GUNFIGHTERS Ltd., developing program goals, incident analysis, how the sympathetic nervous system affects combat performance, accounting for reality in training, the use of training aids to increase performance in combat, testing and evaluation and more.
