PHASE ONE & TWO (COMBINED)

COMBAT SHOOTING METHODS COURSE

Lou Chiodo, Founder of GUNFIGHTERS Ltd. is pleased to present training courses designed to enhance your ability to win a close-quarter gunfight.  GUNFIGHTERS Ltd. specializes in teaching combat shooting methods that allow an operator to deliver a rapid, combat accurate response to an adversary in the high stress, dynamic environment of the real world. GUNFIGHTERS Ltd. IS NOT A TARGET SHOOTING SCHOOL. The curriculum taught specifically designed to increase your gun-fighting skills. You are not being trained to defend yourself against paper and cardboard targets. You will be trained in methods that you can use to defend yourself in close-quarters combat against a determined and aggressive adversary.

Each phase of training is one day in duration and is taught in sequential order. This allows for a methodical way of building combat shooting skills and maximizing individual performance.

PHASE ONE / DAY ONE

Course Description

The Phase One course will focus on developing target-focused shooting methods and  how this methodology works in conjunction with the affects of sympathetic nervous system activation during close-quarters engagements.

Target- focused shooting is a technique designed to allow an operator to respond quickly and with combat accuracy when confronted with a spontaneous, unanticipated attack in a variety of lighting conditions. This method of target engagement must be taught in addition to the use of the weapon’s sight system so that the operator will be able to respond with an appropriate means of target engagement based upon distance, time, cover and the physical and psychological status of the operator at the time of the confrontation.

The goal of this training course is to provide instruction in time-tested, relevant, and realistic combat shooting methods that have proven to work in the dynamic, high-stress environment of close-quarters combat. The combat shooting methods taught must be also consistent with the results of the best research currently available. It is essential that the combat shooting methods be validated in the conditions present in combat not just on the range.

PHASE TWO / DAY TWO

Course Description

The Phase Two course continues the process of developing the target-focused shooting methods that were presented in the pre-requisite Phase One course.   The Phase Two course has been developed to provide a platform for the operator to develop skills to enhance performance when employing his/her pistol in a tactical environment. The development of speed and combat accuracy is necessary to enhance the operator’s ability to dominate the tactical scenario and win.

This course pushes the envelope for speed of engagement while maintaining combat accuracy.  In high speed close-quarters engagements, it is necessary to be both FAST and ACCURATE simultaneously. A critical training objective of the Phase Two course is to integrate high speed and combat accuracy with movement. Moving dynamically while maintaining speed and combat accuracy is essential to surviving close-quarters gunfights.
