PHASE THREE & FOUR (COMBINED)

COMBAT SHOOTING METHODS COURSE

Lou Chiodo, Founder of GUNFIGHTERS Ltd. is pleased to present training courses designed to enhance your ability to win a close-quarter gunfight.  GUNFIGHTERS Ltd. specializes in teaching combat shooting methods that allow an operator to deliver a rapid, combat accurate response to an adversary in the high stress, dynamic environment of the real world. GUNFIGHTERS Ltd. IS NOT A TARGET SHOOTING SCHOOL. The curriculum taught specifically designed to increase your gun-fighting skills. You are not being trained to defend yourself against paper and cardboard targets. You will be trained in methods that you can use to defend yourself in close-quarters combat against a determined and aggressive adversary.

Each phase of training is one day in duration and is taught in sequential order. This allows for a methodical way of building combat shooting skills and maximizing individual performance.

PHASE THREE / DAY ONE

Course Description

The Phase Three course provides you with training and information that can be applied in a multitude of situations where life or death is on the line. A realistic firearms training program that prepares you to meet the challenge of real world encounters is essential to maximize your survival potential. The disconnect between what happens in real world encounters and the training that one receives to deal with these real world encounters is at the root of the low hit rate attained in combat shootings and in many cases the injury or death of  the operator attempting to employ their training.

The entire Phase Three course is conducted using airsoft pistols. My goal in Phase Three is to provide an environment where you can build upon the methodology and skills developed in previous phase of training. Additional combat shooting methods are introduced to increase your capabilities to win close quarters engagements.

The use of airsoft technology will allow you to engage a “human target” safely in a controlled force-on-force environment.  This will help you make the transition from engaging paper and cardboard targets to engaging a hostile threat in a real world engagement.

Integrating airsoft equipment in our training program can be a tremendous “tool” that can help us hone your vital gun-fighting skills in ways that simply can’t be duplicated on the range.  Here are but a few benefits that we gain from using air soft products:

  • Air soft products can be used in many places where real firearms could NEVER be used. A “range” can be established in a variety of venues without needing a range suitable for live fire.
  • The equipment is as near real as it can get without using real weapons. This is a great benefit because holsters, optics and related equipment can be used to create near identical air soft counter-parts to our real weapon systems
  • The cost of both air soft equipment and supplies (BB’s etc.) are relatively inexpensive.
  • A variety of lighting conditions can be created when using air soft products indoors in order to work the full spectrum of environmental conditions found in combat.
  •  An extremely important benefit gained from air soft products is the ability to conduct force-on force training in a relatively safe manner and at a low cost. This allows for a significant amount of repetition. There simply is no substitute for allowing you to practice the “mechanics” taught on the range against another live person in a controlled environment.

I aggressively integrate airsoft technology into your training because of the benefits that are gained from its use. Is live fire on the range extremely important? ABSOLUTELY! Does this mean that air soft products can replace live fire at the range? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Each has its own special place in my training program. When I combine BOTH, I am doing my best to train you for the day when the application of your training can and will mean the difference between winning and losing.

Course Contents

  • Proprietary drills form the nucleus of this course. Each drill is a building block to continue your ability to apply the principles taught in each phase of training.
  • Complete integration of dynamic movement of both shooter and threat.
  • Force-on-force drills in a controlled environment where you and the threat can engage each other to hone your gun-fighting skills.

PHASE FOUR / DAY TWO

Course Description

This course is offered to graduates of the Phase One, Phase Two and Phase Three Combat Shooting Methods courses offered by GUNFIGHTERS Ltd. The purpose of this course is to test and evaluate your ability to apply the principles that were taught in the previous courses of instruction.

Louis M. Chiodo, the founder of GUNFIGHTERS Ltd., has developed a unique system of evaluation to assess student performance. It is called the “TASK-ORIENTED COMBAT QUALIFICATION COURSE (TOCQC)”. The TOCQC is a series of  individual tasks (drills) that are designed to measure your ability to perform each task to a given standard. Each task is evaluated independently from the other tasks in this course. . The objective is simple. You are required to perform a specific task and MUST perform that task to the accuracy level and within the time parameters for that task.

The Phase Four Task-Oriented Combat Qualification Course (TOCQC) allows me to assess your ability to apply the methodology taught throughout the previous phases of training.

Your successful completion of the Phase One through Phase Four courses demonstrates that you have established base-line combat shooting skills that will increase your ability to win a close-quarters engagement.
